I'm Zach Willhite. I come alongside businesses to solve problems with software, data, processes, and people.
Connect on LinkedInI've been a problem solver since I was a kid. I remember my mom's vacuum breaking when I was 8 or 9. I took it apart, found the belt had slipped off the roller, put it back on - and it worked. That feeling of figuring out what was wrong and seeing it help someone stuck with me. Fixing chairs, lawn mowers, broken outlets, or helping whoever needed it - that instinct kept growing as I did.
The tools changed. That drive moved into software, data, and systems. Solving problems and helping people is what drives me - technology is how I get there. When someone brings me something I've never seen before, that's where I come alive. I dive in, figure out how it works, and find a way to get it doing what it needs to do. I joke my job is "find problem, fix problem." That's pretty much it.
Work is what this website is about, but it's only part of who I am. My life is built around faith, family, friends, and work - in that order.
I'm a follower of Jesus, and it shapes everything I do - how I work, how I treat people, and how I live. I read my Bible, I pray and ask God for direction, and I meet with other believers to keep growing in my faith. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I do what I say I'm going to do. I couldn't tell you who I am without telling you where my foundation comes from.
I've been married to my incredible wife - my best friend and biggest supporter - for 15 years. I love spending time with her - we can be talking about the kids, discussing what the Lord is doing in our lives, thinking about how we can better serve others, or just enjoying each other's company. We have three kids. My goal is to stay present with them and "teach them the way they should go." Whether we are outdoors, listening to them sing, playing games, or tackling life's big questions - we work to always learn together.
I strive to treat neighbors like friends and friends like family. When I'm not working or spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, I'm usually trying to help someone with something. Or I am working through another one of the world's problems in my own mind.

The name ShareThisJourney came to me almost 15 years ago. It's rooted in the Bible and the belief that we're all on a journey - through life's twists and turns. I like to come alongside people: businesses figuring out what's not working, neighbors who need a hand, or friends who need someone in their corner.

Twenty years of building things that had to actually work.
I started writing software for small businesses - the kind that needed something built to fit how they actually operated, not how a vendor said they should. Over the first ten years I worked as a developer across a range of small and mid-sized companies.
Then I spent eleven years inside one growing ecommerce and manufacturing company. I started on the technical side and eventually led the IT, data, and marketing departments. I've been the developer writing the code, the leader running the team, and the executive in the room collaborating to shape company initiatives and set the direction for the year ahead.
I can see the problem from many angles - which means I can usually find where things actually need to change, not just where the symptoms show up.
